Road Bulletins

Drove this road end to end from north to south. The northern portion from Tipella Creek to Bremner is pretty crap for a mainline road. There are numerous narrow sections with water bars and general state of de-activation. I think most 4x4 vehicles could make it through, but some clearance will help. Things finally improve after Trio Creek at ~48km.

Not much to add on top of the previous reports. Littered with potholes and heavily trafficked. Nothing that a 2wd couldn't handle up to Chehalis-Mystery FSR where I turned off.

Drove all the way to Tipella airstrip (and back) in Xterra - approx. 2.5 hours one way.
Some rough sections between 56-58 km and a few creeks to cross between 61 and 63 km. Might be not ideal for 2WD, otherwise good conditions.

[From Ridgeline Overlanding] - As of Sunday, there was about 6 inches, it was well packed down where the tire tracks were, and we had no problem cruising through it in our lifted Honda ridgeline. At ~60km down the road

Road has a shit ton of pot holes, but it's otherwise driveable with 2WD and snow free up to the 28km mark. Did not drive beyond that

[From Raveen Singh] - I just drove up and back yesterday (11th). The work crew at Trio plowed the road so I could do my inspection and would plow again because that's the emergency access for their camp. However, they are demibilising and will probably stop maintaining early next week. Trio is at 47.5 km. I can't speak for past that.

[From Mike Barrass] - Thu Jan 11, I made it to about the 65 km mark (north bound, west side) and had to turn around. Camped at Bremner Delta rec site. Snow was getting deep and frozen which made driving difficult. Then there is lots of trees down. I had cleared some of them but then gave up as there was a bunch more.
Sean Caulfield reported on: Jan 06, 2024
Decent condition with some potholes to KM25 which was as far as we drove. Averaged 30-45kph in mid-size truck, sedans etc. would need to take it slower. Water pooling in the many potholes so will likely get worse over winter until it is graded again.

The shallowest of this section of water bars
Out in the clear
Road all the way up the west side of Harrison is in good condition, a few of the water bars right near the north end of the lake are pretty deep so a medium-high clearance vehicle would be recommended. 2wd is definitely enough though
